In October of 2009, I sat in the hot seat across from Meredith Vieira on the tv game show Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? Then a nineteen-year-old college sophomore, I was one of the youngest contestants to ever appear on the show.
I made it onto the program in the first placed based on my audition tape, an incredibly dorky hip-hop music video:
Being on the show was undoubtedly one of the coolest experiences of my life thus far, earning me “fame,” fortune, and perhaps the only chance I will ever get to rap on national television.
